Obituary: Judith Lucille “Judy” Mangold

Judith Lucille “Judy” Mangold, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16,  2026, at her home in Hudson with family by her side. She is together again with her beloved  husband, who preceded her in death on June 10, 2005.  

She was born on July 19, 1945, in Northfield, Minnesota, the daughter of Francis and  Eileen (Tripp) Fink. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1963. On October 23, 1965,  she was united in marriage to Richard Mangold in Northfield. They later moved to Hudson in  1974. Judy worked as a clerk in the photo department at Osco Drug in Crossroads Mall,  Waterloo for 25 years until her retirement in 2001.  

Judy is survived by her daughters, Julie (Todd) Heiman of Waterloo, WI, and Jill (Keith)  Meyer of Hudson; grandsons, Luke Meyer of Hudson and Adam Meyer of West Des Moines;  two brothers and two sisters.  

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.  A private graveside service will be held at the Hudson Cemetery. Online condolences at  www.richardsonfuneralservice.com.
