Obituary: Grady “Jack” Williams

Grady “Jack” Williams, was born December 27, 2009, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Andrew  Holtmeyer and Annie Williams. He was a sophomore at Iowa Valley High School in Marengo. Grady  participated in running track and field and football. Grady enjoyed bass fishing, deer hunting and most of  all spending time with his family and friends. Grady passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the age of  16 years.  

He is survived by his parents, Andrew (Bethany) Holtmeyer of Waterloo and Annie Williams  (Ryan Miller) of Marengo; brothers, Simon Williams of Iowa City, James Holtmeyer and Raephael Angel  of Waterloo; grandparents Steve and Jackie Holtmeyer and Brian Williams; great grandmother Sandy  Holtmeyer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandma Dianna  Darold, grandpa Pat Darold, great grandma Donna Bailey, and great grandpa Henry Holtmeyer.  

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Iowa Valley High  School Gymnasium. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-7:00  p.m. at the Iowa Valley High School Gymnasium. In Lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been  established at the Keystone Savings Bank in Marengo or memorials may be made out to the Iowa Valley  Community School District.
