Jury selected in Hudson murder trial; opening statements begin Thursday

A jury has been selected in the first-degree murder trial of Jacob Leigh Hamilton following two days of jury selection at the Black Hawk County Courthouse in Waterloo.

Opening statements are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Hamilton, 51, formerly of Hudson, is charged in connection with the July 14, 2024, shooting death of 35-year-old Zachary Michael Drinovsky at an apartment complex in Hudson.
