"Santa Comes to Town" Moves to New Location for Community Christmas

By Danielle McCulley

Santa Claus is coming to town this weekend, and this year, the celebration will take  place in a new location.

The annual Santa Comes to Town event, sponsored by the Hudson Chamber of  Commerce, has traditionally been held at the Hudson Community Center. This year, organizers  announced it will be held at Hudson Community Schools, 136 S. Washington St., in the Middle  School Commons (Main Entrance).

Santa will arrive by firetruck at 9:50 a.m., courtesy of the Hudson Fire Department, and  the event will run from 10 a.m. to noon.

Children can visit with Santa and have their photo taken for $10 — cash or Venmo  accepted. Families can also enjoy free crafts, games, face painting, bingo, popcorn, cookies,  and hot cocoa, and kids will have the chance to write letters to Santa.

Several other community events are planned throughout Hudson as part of the Hudson  Community Christmas celebration:

AMVET Auxiliary Cookie Walk and Lunch
