Pirate Runners Keep Tradition Alive at Homecoming

Following tradition, 35 Hudson High School and Middle School cross country runners gathered  to run the game ball to the field before Friday night’s homecoming football game. The Pirate  cross country team will close out the regular season on Saturday morning at North Linn High  School. After that, all eyes will be on the NICL Conference Meet set for Thursday, Oct. 16, in  Oelwein.The NICL is considered one of the toughest conferences in the state. The No. 13- ranked Hudson girls team will look to defend its conference title from last season, while the  Pirate boys will battle among three other top-ranked teams with hopes of placing near the top.
