Obituary: Joseph “Joe” Reiter

Joseph “Joe” R. Reiter, 91, of Cedar Falls, passed away on October 5, 2025, at  Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls.  

He was born on August 15, 1934 in Waterloo, the son of Arnold and Ester Faust  Reiter. He attended Orange High School and honorably served in the United States  Army.  

Joe worked at John Deere, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the UAW and  helped on the farm after work. He loved rafting on the Colorado River, riding his bike  and playing tennis. Joe also enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard.  

Survivors include: three nieces, Kim Reiter of Waterloo, Teresa Krivanek and Laura  Booth both of Cedar Rapids; and two nephews, James Booth of Cedar Rapids and  Jesse Reiter of Des Moines.  

Preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Leonard Booth, Roger Booth  and Robert Reiter; and a nephew, Joseph Reiter.
