Obituary: Glenn Euchner

Glenn H. Euchner, of Lennox, South Dakota, peacefully passed away at the Royal C.  Johnson Hospice Cottage, located on the VA Hospital campus in Sioux Falls, on Friday, March  20, 2026, at the age of 93.  

Glenn was born on March 19, 1933, to William and Alice (Bonneson) Euchner in  Waterloo, Iowa. He was raised in Hudson, Iowa, and graduated from Hudson High School in  1952.  

In May 1950, Glenn enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Biggs  Air Force Base, Texas. He served for four years and received an honorable discharge in May  1954. In October 1963, Glenn enlisted again in the United States Air Force and was stationed  at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, from which he was honorably discharged in  September 1967.  

On December 22, 1966, Glenn married Nancy Dyson in Greenville, South Carolina. The  couple was blessed with three sons: John, Neal, and Ryan. Glenn and Nancy divorced in 1995.  Glenn worked at John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo, Iowa. He later started his own  company, Euchner Builders, which focused on home and farm construction.  In his spare time, Glenn enjoyed woodworking, gardening, working on jigsaw puzzles,  and traveling. One of his greatest passions was fishing, and he cherished his trips to Canada  for fishing. Glenn also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He is survived by his sons, John R. (Kimberly) Euchner, Neal L. (Libby) Euchner, and  Ryan J. Euchner; his grandchildren, Austin, Megan, Zane, and Henslee; and his great grandson, Henry.  

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Euchner; siblings, Marlys  (Greening), Dale, Marvin, and Norman; and his granddaughter, Hannah.  

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery  in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
