Meet the Candidates!
Hudson Residents Invited to Meet the Candidates Ahead of City Election By Danielle McCulley
Voters will have the opportunity to hear directly from this year’s city election candidates during a Meet the Candidates event scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Community Center, located in the lower level of Hudson City Hall.
Two candidates are running for mayor, and three candidates are seeking two open City Council seats.
Mayor Gail Bunz, who currently serves as Hudson’s mayor, is running for re-election. She will be challenged by Hector Baldiviezo.
Council members Kate Wyatt and Lori Seawall are not seeking re-election. Candidates for the two four-year council terms include Steve Kramer, Marcus Bowman, and Samra Jensen Olofson.
The event will allow each candidate to introduce themselves, answer questions, and share their vision for Hudson’s future. While the forum will not be interactive, it will provide residents an opportunity to listen and learn before casting their votes.
Hudson’s city election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
