Hudson Search Warrant Leads to Drug, Child Endangerment Charges
Two individuals face multiple charges following the execution of a search warrant at a Hudson residence early Monday morning, according to the Hudson Police Department. The investigation began around 9 p.m. April 18, when officers conducted a traffic stop within the city. During the stop, officers developed information indicating illegal narcotics had recently been purchased from a residence in Hudson.
Based on that information, officers applied for and were granted a narcotics search warrant for a residence located at 228 Main St.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. Monday, Hudson police officers, with assistance from the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, executed the warrant.
During the search, officers reported seizing methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cellular phones and U.S. currency.
As a result of the investigation, Christina Dietz, of 228 Main St., Hudson, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, child endangerment and gathering where controlled substances are used.
Gabriel Olsen, of Cedar Falls, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues, according to authorities. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
