Hudson Library Expands Used Book Sale

Hudson Library Expands Used Book Sale
A recent donation has filled an entire bookshelf with cookbooks available through the Hudson Public Library’s ongoing used book sale. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Hudson Public Library Foundation and help support library programs and special projects.

Visitors to the Hudson Public Library have even more to browse following a recent expansion of the library’s ongoing used book sale.

The sale area has been updated with additional shelf space and a wide variety of donated materials. Current selections include adult fiction and nonfiction, books for toddlers through teens, Western novels, DVDs, CDs, magazines, biographies and past Hudson High School yearbooks. Puzzles, movies and games are also among the items accepted for donation.

A recent generous donation added a large selection of cookbooks to the sale, while seasonal selections include Halloween books and a “spooky” display. The library also maintains shelves with free items available to visitors.

Purchases from the ongoing sale do more than give books and other materials a new home. Proceeds benefit the Hudson Public Library Foundation, which helps support expenses for adult and youth programming at the library, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and other special projects.

Community members can support the effort in two ways — by browsing the sale or by donating gently used materials they no longer need. The library welcomes donations of used books, puzzles, CDs, movies and games.

With shelves continually changing as items are donated and purchased, visitors may find something different each time they stop in.
