Former Hudson Residents Earn Top Honors with Champion Longhorn Bull

Congratulations go out to former Hudson residents Dr. Stefanie (Newsome) and Cory  Schmitt of Rustic Sunset Ranch, who recently earned top honors at the International  Texas Longhorn Association show in Glen Rose, Texas. The couple’s Longhorn bull  was named Senior Champion and went on to claim the title of Overall Champion Bull at  the show. “He is the whole package and represents what we aim for in our breeding  program: solid body, good horn and gentle disposition,” Stefanie said. “No show feed,  no hormones, no supplements. We picked him up from breeding cows two days before  this show! Productive in the pasture and competitive in the show ring is our goal.”
