Boys Track: Seniors honored on Senior Night

Last Thursday, April 9, during the Hudson boys home track meet, two senior track and  field athletes were honored alongside their parents.

Devin Lang pictured with parents Michael Lukehart and Crystal Lang. Devin Lang is  the son of Michael Lukehart and Crystal Lang. He participates in track and field, wrestling and  football, and is a member of FBLA. One of his favorite track memories comes from the  camaraderie he has built with his fellow throwing teammates—especially a lighthearted  moment at a past meet when he and teammate Grady shared a playful, competitive wrestling  match. Devin has played a pivotal role in the Pirates’ varsity throwing lineup this season,  stepping up in a big way while helping lead the group during a teammate’s injury recovery. He  would like to give his aunts a special shoutout for always being there and supporting him.  Devin plans to earn his CDL through a work apprenticeship.

Cooper Steele pictured with parents Luke and Megan Steele. Cooper Steele is the son of Megan and Luke Steele. This is Cooper’s first year on the Hudson track and field team, and he is also competing in golf this spring. While he may be one of the quieter members of the team, his contributions have been invaluable this season. He has stepped up whenever needed, playing an important role in strengthening the sprint lineup. Cooper has also participated in basketball and baseball. He would like to give his parents a special shoutout for their support throughout his high school career. Following graduation, Cooper plans to earn his real estate license and pursue a career in real estate.
